Google’s latest statistics on how big the different Android versions are, says 7.0 – 7.1 climbed to 15.8 percent – up from 13.5 percent a month ago. Although more than a year has elapsed and a new version of the system has been released in a crisp version, Nougat is therefore not near to be the biggest edition. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is still the largest and runs on 32.2 percent of the active devices. The difference between the beginning of August is negligible as Marshmallow shrunk only by 0.1 percentage points. All Android versions have shrunk in use besides 7.0 and 7.1, but it’s at most about a 0.9 percentage point decrease (4.4 KitKat). Android 8.0 Oreo does not appear in the statistics. As mentioned earlier, Project Trable in Android 8.0 can get the statistics to look different in the future, even though it will be delayed before the betting can be evaluated.
